In the Spring of 2018  I decided to record a song, which I had just composed, using my ancient iPhone 5s and my in-need-of-tuning piano. Since then I have composed, and recorded, more songs. I have also replaced my old upright piano with a Yamaha Clavinova and started using GarageBand / Logic.   

Most of the songs I composed initially are instrumental. However, I then started writing songs that included different tracks and lyrics, and, later on, started adding vocals.

I created this site as a way of sharing (very occasionally) a song or two with friends who might be interested, or at least kind enough to listen. The site also provides me with some structure; encouraging me to finish at least a few of the many song ideas that I am constantly playing around with.

I would like to thank Françoise, Robin, Alex, Heidi, Anna, Gary, Sheila, Kaja, Diane, Tom, Patti and Daniel for encouraging me.

I would also like to thank my son Ethan—a musician and member of The Empties—for taking an interest in my music and supporting me in all my efforts, and my daughter Naomi for sharing with me her love of music and singing.
